COMPUTER LITERACY DAY
Students visited the DHL Express Head Office in Mumbai for a hands-on workshop on computer literacy and cyber awareness. They got the opportunity to interact with volunteers from the team and work with them.
SHINING AT BOMBAY YMCA
A group of students represented the school at 'Brainwaves' - Interschool competition hosted by YMCA Mumbai in elocution, quiz, essay writing and drawing competitions. They were the only participants representing a BMC school. Three students were awarded for their performance.
BAL CHITRAKALA
For two consecutive years, students have actively taken part in Bal Chitrakala organized by the municipal corporation for students across all grades and mediums studying in BMC schools.
It is a refreshing sight to see so many children gather and indulge in artistic experiences.
ANNUAL SPORTS DAY
The Annual Sports Day was a vibrant gathering where team spirit, dedication and passion for sports came alive. The event was planned by our team with support from volunteers.
SETTING UP OUR LIBRARY
With the generous support from Library4All (an initiative started by Gabula Foundation), we were able to bring the joy of reading to our classroom with a mini library set up - a first such initiative in the secondary wing of the school.
MEETING SHANTANU NAIDU
Shantanu Naidu is an author, entrepreneur and youngest assistant to Mr Ratan Tata. 3 of our students got the opportunity to interact with Shantanu Naidu at a book signing event of his book - "I came upon a lighthouse"- which they thoroughly enjoyed reading.
PARTNERSHIP WITH CLAYLAB
This year we partnered with Clayblab Education, an organisation providing 1-1 mentorship to secondary students for career awareness, employability skills, right values and mindset and professional awareness and exposure. Students of our class have not just felt supported but also inspired by their mentors to excel in their professional journeys.
SCIENCE EXHIBITION
To promote hands-on learning, foster curiosity, and develop critical thinking skills, a science exhibition was organised where students of our classroom presented their ideas in the form of science models and experiements. Students and teachers from different grades and mediums visited the exhibtion and lauded the efforts put in by the participants.
STUDENT LED CLASSROOMS
On teachers' day this year, our students took up the task of conducting classes for students of bothr Grade 9 and Grade 10. It was a rather heartwarming sight to see students meticulously plan for these classes, think of creative ideas for their lessons and even model some of the practices they see their teachers use in the class.
INTER SCHOOL DANCE COMPETITIONS
In an dance competition held at Shankarwadi, our students performed an entirely self-choreographed piece in front of students and teachers from other schools. They were given an award for 'Best Choreography' by the judges.
