Fellow Advisor

My role as a Fellow Advisor at Teach For India broadened my scope beyond the classroom. It marked the initial steps toward extending my influence by mentoring and guiding other fellows to adopt innovative mathematics teaching techniques. As a part of this role we:

• Supported other math and science fellows in implementing research and experience based pedagogical practices in their classroom

• Created math resources including lesson plans, presentations, summary sheets, and chapter assessments to be used across math classrooms in the city

• Designed formative and summative assessments to be adminstered across classrooms

• Shared learnings from upskilling opportunities to improve math outcomes across the city 

• Personally mentored incoming fellows in the city by providing non-technical and emotional support to help them transition into the role
